Lieutenant Commander Santosh Chetri (Rtd) received his MBA from the premier Management Institute of India-Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Indore) and a Aeronautical Engineering Masters degree from Naval Institute of Technology. He has a total of fifteen years of market experience amongst the top and the best organizations of the world including four years of work in ICICI Bank (no 1 Bank in India) & seven years in engineering.

During his time at ICICI bank, he was selected in the talent pool for exceptional performance and was promoted to regional head of the risk department for the eastern region of the country India.  

As team Coach for south east Asia for the International NGO Alpha, headquartered at London, he visited many countries, and trained leaders of more than 100 organisations.

He specializes in business management and entrepreneurship and is the Chief Operating Officer of Torrent Consulting Pvt Ltd as well as a management and business processes consultant for Torrent’s clients.

Don Gerred

Deepak Puri gained a high school leaving certificate from Elim Kids Academy, Maharajgunj Chakrapath and completed high school with Science as major faculty from Saipal Academy Dhumbarahi. He is currently pursuing a bachelor degree in BBS from Ganesh Multiple College and BA in Social Work from Tri Chandra Multiple Campus. Immediately after completing his high school level education, Deepak went to work with The Apple of God’s Eyes, an Anti-Human trafficking organization as an assistant field researcher for 4 years. In 2016 he attended a course called The Freedom Encounter in Calcutta, India offered by Freeset Global and was trained in-depth about cross-border trafficking to India. Deepak joined Torrent Consulting as a field research consultant in May 2017.

Rupa Pradhan

Rupa Pradhan is a psychologist with a Masters of Psychology, India. Rupa is a highly qualified trauma counselor, life skills and leadership trainer having worked in direct anti-sex trafficking interventions and aftercare with the International Justice Mission (IJM) Kolkata Field Office.

Rupa is a sought-after expert for sex trafficking aftercare and other trauma healing projects in Nepal. Rupa is highly experienced with using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) with survivors of sex trafficking. She holds a Diploma in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Anisha counselling centre, India.  Rupa is also accredited in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), completing part 1 from the Philippines and Part 2 from Mumbai, India. She is experienced in basic forms of art therapy and music therapy. Rupa is also a certified Trainer of Trainers for International Child Development Program Nepal (ICDP) in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Rupa currently serves as Program Manager for the Justice Ventures International project of Torrent Consulting in Nepal. She has provided insight and expertise for organizations such as Tear Fund and Love Justice (formerly Tiny Hands), The Nepalese Home, and others. Rupa is also presently teaching a course in the Masters in Psychology in Crisis Management program at Tribhuvan University.


OUR TEAM

Don Gerred earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 1989 and earned a juris doctor from the University of Maryland Law School in 1993. Immediately after law school Don spent one year as a business law professor at the Karaganda Small Business Institute in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. Upon returning to the U.S., he held a judicial clerkship in a trial court in Pennsylvania, before going on to private practice doing both civil and criminal litigation.  In 2000, Don became the lead drug prosecutor for the District Attorney’s Office of Cambria County, Pennsylvania – a position he held for six years.  During that time, Don was also a Special Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting cases brought by a federal Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. 

Until his return to the United States in December 2009, Don was the Director of International Justice Mission’s Field Office in Kolkata (Calcutta), India. The IJM Kolkata field office works with local authorities to investigate cases of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of women and children, to seek the vigorous prosecution of the perpetrators responsible for these crimes, and to ensure that the victims receive comprehensive aftercare. Don originally joined the Kolkata office in April 2006, as Special Counsel, a role in which he directed legal strategy and case work and supervised a team of Indian national lawyers. In April 2007, IJM promoted Don to become Director of the Kolkata Field Office. In this position, he oversaw all business operations and casework of the office and reported on office activities to IJM headquarters, IJM supporters, officials in both the Indian and U.S. Governments, and other interested parties.

For 6 years, Don served as the Director of Justice Projects at Crossroads in Cincinnati, Ohio being responsible to oversee Crossroads’ multi-million dollar commitment to provide high quality aftercare to sex trafficking survivors in South Asia. In 2016, Don founded Torrent Consulting Pvt Ltd.


Deepak Puri
